Hello!
My name is Yetta.
I came from a small village ouside of St. Petersburg, Russia.
I come from Jewish ancestry that is very rich in religion.
My father owned a bakery and my mother was a seamstress.
They loved the strong family heritage they shared, their religious values and love for their fellow countrymen.
It was a difficult time financially in their lives and for economical reasons the decision was made to come to America.
It was a very cold morning in 1923 when we embarked on our long ocean voyage.
It was a journey that was frightening and filled with many hardships.
The worst to endure was the sudden illness of both of my parents and their subsequent deaths.
Upon reaching New York I was very thankful to be alive, however, I was heart-sick and homeless as well.
Looking for someone to cherich me and give me a loving home.
With Your Love,
Yetta |
