Hello!
My name is Anna.
I come from poland.
My father was a cabinet maker, and it was said that he made the most beautiful cabinets in all of Poland.
My mother was a baker of breads and pastries and sold them to the local villages.
I have many fond memories of my childhood.
Especially of the aroma of fresh baked bread coming through the open window in the summer time, and hearing my father singing Polish folk songs while he works in his wood shop.
One day while I was sleeping, the army came and took my parents away.
I never saw them again.
A kindly peasant lady took me in until she could buy passage to America.
I am very happy to be alive and in America, nevertheless, I am homelss and alone.
With Your Love,
Anna |
